On 29 May 400 students represented NDC at the Year 7/8 Goulburn Murray District Inter School Sports Carnivals. All students competed enthusiastically with the following teams winning their competitions:
· Football – Year 7 & 8 Boys
· Soccer – Year 7 Boys
· Netball – Year 7 & 8 Girls
· Basketball – Year 7 Girls & Boys and Year 8 Girls & Boys
· Badminton – Year 7/8 Girls & Year 7 Boys
These teams will now progress through to the Hume Region Carnivals on various dates through Term 3.
Last Monday nine senior students from Year 11/12 travelled to Kilmore to complete in this year’s Victorian Marist Netball Carnival.
Unfortunately the girls lost their first two games. As the day slowly warmed up, so did the girls, finding form and winning their last three games.
Overall, the Notre Dame students played six matches and finished third overall after winning their placing final for third position.

Round 1: Notre Dame College def by Catholic College Sale 10-24
Round 2: Notre Dame College def by Marist College Bendigo 13-25
Round 3: Notre Dame College defeated Marist-Sion Warragul 25-17
Round 4: Notre Dame College defeated Assumption College Kilmore 18-17
Round 5: Notre Dame College def by La Valla Traralgon 19-15
Round 6: 3rd place Playoff – Notre Dame College vs Marist College Bendigo 25-17
We congratulate the following students on their fantastic efforts on the day displaying both sportsmanship and great netball talent.
On Friday 21 June selected students travelled to Benalla showgrounds to compete in this year’s HUME cross country competition.
Many of our students were placed in the top 12. These students have now qualified to compete in Melbourne at the Yarra Valley Race club on the 18 July.
